32. Surah As-Sajdah

The Quranic Text & Ali’s Version:

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ ﴿٢٥﴾

32: 25. Verily thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgement, in the matters wherein they differ (among themselves).

C3659. These wrangles and disputes among them will continue until the Day of Judgment, but meantime a new Ummah (that of Islam) will arise and take its place, with a universal and unified Message for mankind.

Asad’s Version:

32:25 VERILY, it is God alone who will decide between men 21 on Resurrection Day with regard to all on which they were wont to differ. 22

21 Lit., "between them",

22 See surah 2, note 94; also 22:67-69. In the present instance, this difference of opinion relates to belief in resurrection, on the one hand, and its denial, on the other.
