497 – 578 Birth of Abdul Muttalib, grandfather of Muhammad


570 – Year of the Elephant

570 AD, 12 Rabiul Awwal Muhammad was born.

Son of Abd Allah, belonging to the tribe of Quraysh at Mecca.

His father died before he was born, and mother died in his infancy.

Brought up by Abu Talib, who never accepted Islam.



578 – Abu Talib, the Uncle and foster-father, who took care of Md .



595 AD - Khadija, wife, 15 years senior to him, got married to Md in 595 AD, Md was 25 years.

He did not re-marry until after her death when he was fifty years old, 25 years later.
