[ Ruby’s note: This is defining the fundamental idea of religion: Submission to the Will and Law of God. The rest is details, interpretations and rituals to attain that, and the Quran acknowledges that there are different ways that one can reach that goal. Reaching the goal is the key whereas the ways are not. This idea is conveyed here: Abraham is the made the leader [Imam] of mankind and his religion is the religion of Submission. This is the central idea. Muhammad was commanded to convey the same Message to mankind. And the Message is always more important than the messenger. A willful rejection of Muhammad as the messenger may constitute rejection of God’s truth. However, there are rejection of unconsciousness of this truth due to ignorance and that is entirely a different matter, God is the Only Judge of the extend of that failure each human being.]
